How can Counselling Help?
Counselling can help you to gain a better understanding of yourself, how you are feeling and how you react to different experiences. It can also be a chance to unload some of the things that have been difficult for you. Talking to someone who has no agenda offers the opportunity to explore what you choose at your own pace.
I can offer you a calm and safe space to talk through your thoughts, feelings and experiences. I will listen to you and support you. I won’t judge you or tell you what to do, and firmly believe that you are the expert on yourself. You know yourself best. My role is to work with you at whatever pace you set, and give you the space to find your own solutions and ways forward.
Being in counselling can feel like a relief as you get to unload. At other times, as you explore painful feelings, it can feel difficult and requires hard work to stick at; sometimes you may even feel both. Either way, I strongly believe that counselling can help and that together we can find ways forward that work for you.
